LIVING DAY BY DAY

It's funny how life is so "temporary" - nothing is certain - nothing is given.   You're doing well - cruising along the highway of life doing 120 - music playing, top down - looking good !  .... and then  "WHAM" - you get a flat.  The car veers off the road, over-turns, and comes to a screeching halt in a ditch.  At that exact moment, as your life flashes before your eyes, you wonder to yourself if your life will ever be the same again?  The truth is that it probably won't .... and I'm here to tell you to know that it's not necessarily a bad thing.

"Diamonds are formed under extreme pressure".   That's something I hear a lot these days.  People tell me that to try and make me feel better, I suppose.  Some days it works - others, it doesn't even come close!  Despite my uncertain life, I am grateful to God for my "flat" - that my car veered from the road.  I've been given a second chance .... an opportunity to change things about my life and about myself that I didn't like.  A time to realise what's important, and what's not.  Who's important, and who's not.  Who loves me for ME, and who loved me for what they thought I could give them.  Who adds value to my life, and who doesn't.

This blog is an account of how a middle aged woman got a 2nd chance at her life - a wake-up call.  It's about losing love but finding love that was always right before my eyes, but I was just too blind to see!!  .... losing faith, and finding faith .... and learning, by faith, to live, by God's grace, day to day.

Join mey on my journey as I discover ME, and try and figure out what's God's plan for me in my life is.

  1. Welcome to the blogosphere! I'm a very faithful reader (just not a very good blogger!), and am honoured to be your first 'follower'. Looking forward to reading more! And regarding this, your first post: I've found that ditch more than once, and I'm still learning how to pick up and move on after the crash. But as the saying goes, "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only option you have." So...stay strong! xo
